(Food Pantry) Dynamic Compassion in Action distributes food boxes to persons in need and persons with low-income. Clothing and household goods are distributed at the same site and during same food pantry hours. Volunteers are accepted, but please call first. We accept donations of clean and gently used small household items and clothing. The food distribution is normally a drive through. For persons who walk in please bring a bag, box or wagon. This is an Ohana Produce Plus Distribution and Senior Food Box Program, Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP), a one a month, federal program helping low-income kupuna.

Quality Care for Hawaiian Keiki (QCHK) is a child care subsidy program for Native Hawaiian in Maui County. QCHK goals are to help Native Hawaiian/Part Hawaiian families become more economically self sufficient as well as helping their children to become school ready. Program provides assistance to families to pay for child care, for children ages 0-13 and up to 19 years old for children with special needs. Child care includes Licensed Family Child Care Homes, Infant and Toddler Centers, Preschools, Before/After school Programs, Intercession care as well as License-Exempt providers. Provides help with child care providers in Maui County with any needs that they might have in the areas of training, health, safety and licensing.

(Home Instruction for Parents of Preschool Youngsters) Home Instruction for Parents of Preschool Youngsters offers home based early childhood education for two, three, four and five year old children working with their parent(s) as their first teacher. The parent is provided with a set of carefully developed materials, curriculum and books designed to strengthen their child’s cognitive skills, early literacy skills, social/emotional and physical development. HIPPY is a parent involvement and school readiness program. HIPPY covers the following 5 domains: Literacy; Language; Science ; Motor (gross and fine) ; Math . The curriculum is scripted to help parents deliver the lessons to their children with confidence. Responsible for fire protection, rescue, HazMat, emergency medical response and ocean rescue services. Provides fire prevention education. Operates a psychosocial rehabilitation program for seriously mentally ill adults utilizing a clubhouse model philosophy. Helps members increase or regain their personal and social skills, self confidence, self esteem and level of satisfaction to resume a productive life in the community. Provides assessment, rehabilitation planning, prevocational training, vocational services, supported education, psychosocial skills training, supportive counseling, recreational activities.

Provides job search and placement services including assessment counseling, and referrals. Provides labor and market information. Cooperates with agencies involved with federal and state job training programs. Refers clients to job training programs. Provides resume and job search preparation workshops.

(WUCC Food Pantry, WUCC) Central Union Church Windward Food Distribution Program provides non-perishable food and prepackaged bags of food (protein, fruit, starch, vegetables). The church is committed to providing this outreach to the community and everyone who has a need for food is welcome. Please bring your own bag for food pick up. Central Union Church Windward is a Hawaii Food Bank Agency authorized to receive FDA products, therefore our program is required to have our clients sign a form confirming the need and number of individuals in the household.
