(CLDP, Team Based Opportunities) The Conservation Leadership Development Program (CLDP) is a paid program for early professionals interested in pursuing a career in conservation. In CLDP, members are selected by a Host Site (partner organization) that aligns with their skills and conservation interests. Serving in areas such as ornithology, botany, natural resource management, aquatic resource management, marine biology, Hawaiian cultural studies, agricultural science, and more, CLDP terms typically last from 6 months to 1 year, offering hands-on experience, professional development, and the opportunity to make a lasting impact in communities across Hawaii and the Pacific.

Provides a comprehensive recreational program in the community. Facilities include a multi-purpose building and a field. There are three program periods throughout the year: Fall, spring and summer. Activities are geared for all ages, including classes in arts and crafts, games and sports, music, seasonal activities and crafts, and excursions. (VASH - Kauai) Visitor Aloha Society of Hawaii (VASH) provides supportive services to meet the immediate and urgent needs of visitors to Hawaii Island who are victimized by crime, have medical emergencies, or suffer other adversities during their stay. Immediate needs may include assistance with canceling credit cards, providing emergency transportation, or garnering resources (soliciting donations) for food and lodging. VASH relies heavily on donations and community support. When needed resources are not readily available, we will make requests and network with other agencies to try and meet needs.

(WSPAP) The Western States Pension Assistance Project is a pension counseling project within Legal Services of Northern California (LSNC) that provides services free of charge, serving callers of all ages and income levels who live or have worked in California, Arizona, Nevada or Hawaii. There are no age or income requirements to this project. The team helps clients to understand their retirement plan rights and claim the benefits they have earned, regardless of the type of company or retirement benefit involved. They also assist with tracking down benefits from previous employers, working through the claims and appeals process, helping clients understand their rights as a former or surviving spouse, correcting pension benefit calculations, and addressing overpayment demands.

Provides custom made hair-pieces for children to the age of 21 who suffers from permanent or long-term hair loss. Hairpieces are made by hand from donated ponytails.

(DHS Return to Homeland Program) Assists eligible Hawaii resident aliens and naturalized citizens in returning to their homelands outside of the United States. This service is not for temporary relocation or vacation but to permanently return to live there. Call for further information and other requirements.

Ala Kuola provides assistance to persons affected by domestic violence in obtaining temporary restraining orders (TRO's) against the perpetrator. The TRO acts as a legal "shield" to protect the victim from further abuse. Ala Kuola services include: -Screening requests to ensure the petition for the TRO is within the purview of the Family Court. -Providing intake services on a one-to-one basis to ensure the safety and confidentiality of the petitioner. -Providing technical assistance to the petitioner to ensure relevant information is included in all TRO documents. -On hearing dates, Ala Kuola staff will act as an impartial court assistant between parties to expedite the hearing process. -The Ala Kuola court assistant will also draft various court orders, and the service of the orders on the involved parties. -Transmittal of all court orders to the Honolulu Police Department's Records Division for filing.

Dental Care of Pearlridge is offering emergency dental care. What qualifies as an emergency?

• Pain that is not managed by over-the-counter pain medication.
• Uncontrolled bleeding in the mouth.
• Broken or knocked-out tooth.
• Dry socket or other result of a recent surgery, including stitches that need to be removed.
• Pain from a dental appliance that needs fitting or trimming.
