Also gives public advice on small animals and insects causing a problem in or near a home or building such as mice, roaches, flies, gnats, mites, rats, and nesting birds. Offers information and advice to individuals experiencing pest problems. Accepts birds that the public drops off for West Nile testing. They no longer spray for mosquitos.

(Ho'oulu 'Aina and Returning to our Roots) Hooulu Aina (the Kalihi Valley Nature Preserve) strives to be a "welcoming place of refuge for people of all cultures." Kokua Kalihi Valley (KKV) sees the aina (land) as a vital member of the community, and so we are pleased to offer opportunities for community gardening, reforestation, environmental education and the preservation of land-based cultural knowledge. The ROOTS program works to reconnect community members to one another, to their cultures, and to their shared land through the growing, preparing and sharing of food. The Center is a research organization affiliated with the University of Hawaii at Manoa with facilities located in Kakaako. Conducts cancer research, education and improving patient care. (Meal Delivery - Hawaii Meals on Wheels) Medical meal (diabetic, renal, chopped, pureed, etc.) delivery service to homebound kupuna. Meals are frozen or hot, as needed. Frozen meals delivered once a week to your home and is a week's worth of meals. Hot meals are daily during weekdays, including all holidays. Both hot and frozen programs offer medical meals. Helps frail elderly and disabled individuals preserve their independence at home by providing nutritious meals and regular personal contact. Clients will have to have limited mobility; not be able to meet certain criteria of daily living i.e. difficulty dressing themselves, unable to cook or shop on their own. For private pay and sponsored services, A Hawaii Meals on Wheels staff will check in with their physician on their health status.

We offer a thriving and robust kupuna (senior) and youth program. We also host additional services for all ages in a safe, intergenerational setting at our multi-purpose family center. KEY programs, both our own and those of others with whom we partner, provide positive alternatives for youth and families from Kaneohe to Kahuku with a focus on prevention, alternative education options, civic engagement. As an excellent meeting site, KEY provides opportunities for community members to participate in and gain control over their lives and the future of their community through active participation in clubs, organizations, halau, forums and community service activities.
