(Ka Pa'alana, Ka Paalana Traveling Preschool and Homeless Family Education Program, Partners in Development Ka Paalana, Partners in Development K Paalana Traveling Preschool, PIDF Ka Paalana Traveling Preschool) The Ka Pa‘alana Traveling Preschool and Homeless Family Education Program serves houseless families on the Leeward coast of O‘ahu as well as Kaka‘ako, and Hilo on Hawai‘i Island. Through collaborative partnerships with Leeward coast outreach agencies, Ka Pa‘alana assists families by delivering or providing access to essential services, such as a parent-child participatory preschool, basic needs items and more. Ka Pa‘alana also serves as an initial contact agency for families who are ready to transition to local shelters or temporary housing facilities.
There are three components to the Ka Pa‘alana Traveling Preschool and Homeless Family Education Program: Malama Mobile, Traveling Preschool, and Family Education services.

Waikiki Health's HIV Early Intervention Services Program is committed to the early detection and treatment of HIV, which can help prevent the onset of AIDS and other opportunistic infections.
Confidential HIV and Hepatitis C testing and counseling are available at the Waikiki Health’s Ohua Clinic in Waikiki and Makahiki Medical and Dental Clinic in McCully/Moiliili.
Our prevention services team offers a wide variety of programs designed to reach individuals at risk for confronting HIV. Waikiki Health integrates HIV specialty care with primary medical, behavioral health, dental care and support services.

Kupuna Support Program

Offers a place for frail and not-so-frail seniors to gather and socialize with others. Program targets isolated seniors who are alone during the day and are in need of mental and physical stimulation to maintain their current level of functioning, thus delaying the need for more supportive care.
This is a day activities program for the elderly. The focus is on healthy aging through intervention in the mental and social decline of seniors. Activities are age- and level-of-functioning appropriate and include chair exercise, arts and crafts, socialization, singing and games that challenge them.

Tenacious Rooted Youth Center - Halawa

(TRY, TRY Center, Community Teen Program - Puuwai Momi) Parents And Children Together's Community's Tenacious Rooted Youth (TRY) Centers in Kuhio Park Terrace and Puuwai Momi public housing provides comprehensive development programs for youths who live in and around the housing complexes. After school programs promote the development of youth, families, and communities by providing educational activities and experiences including STEM projects, sports and recreation, community service, skill building, and support services. Programs support the growth and development of our youth by teaching leadership and life skills and encouraging positive experiences as alternatives to drugs and gangs. TRY Center activities are free and open to family residents of public housing complexes in the respective areas.
Opens at 1:30pm on Wednesdays during the school year.
Extended hours offered during summer and school intersessions.
