Our Child Protection Center (CPC) is the state leader in identifying, treating and helping children and families recover from child abuse. Founded in 1969 in collaboration with the State of Hawaii, the CPC has been helping Hawaii’s children for over 45 years. (MEM) Making Ends Meet provides emergency financial assistance for individuals who experienced an unexpected life event that resulted in a financial setback. Assistance for essential needs such as rent, utilities, transportation, etc. up to about $500. No general financial assistance. No long-term financial support available. Assistance is a one time, not ongoing assistance. All services are conducted electronically or via USPS

The Kauai DHO serves the community with proficiencies in emergency preparedness, family health services, public health nursing, services for the developmentally delayed, environmental health services (vector control, clean air, clean water, and sanitation programs), vital statistics (births, marriages, and deaths), communicable disease control, and mental health services.
