Day at the Beach typically takes place at White Plains Beach on the first Saturday of each month. There are occasional special program days (i.e. flat water days on the Windward side, or surf day at Queens Beach in town). All events are posted on our website, https://www.accessurf.org. Youth identified as requiring intensive mental health services may be enrolled with the Department of Health (DOH) Family Guidance Center (FGC) located in the school district of their home school. They are assigned an FGC Mental Health Care Coordinator (MHCC) at that time. (Domestic Violence Advocacy) Families who are enrolled in Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) or Temporary Assistance to Other Needy Families (more commonly known as “welfare”), are required to be engaged in activities that will ultimately lead them to self-sufficiency. Program recipients for whom issues of safety and domestic violence are interfering with their progress can call upon Domestic Violence Advocacy to help them find support to change their situations. Services include: assessment, service planning, counseling services, case management and linkage and referral.

(Wireless Emergency Notification System) County of Kauai Emergency Management Agency uses the Wireless Emergency Notification System (WENS) to create and rapidly disseminate voice and text message to cell phones, Personal Digital Assistants (PDAs), email accounts, and TTY/TDD receiving devices for the hearing impaired. KHP is a non-profit substance misuse treatment and recovery support Center with a focus on Native Hawaiian cultural values. Provides Outpatient treatment and support services for Molokai residents in early recovery from alcohol and other drug addictions. Also provides 12-step meetings and faith-based recovery support meetings. Provides urine analysis (UA) Testing for youth up to age 18 and adults. Able to provide alcohol and other drugs (AOD) assessments for driving under the influence (DUI) or treatment appropriateness for a fee. KHP has programs for Pregnant and/or parenting Women with children who want to engage in outpatient treatment. Also, persons with a co-occurring mental health diagnosis and a substance use disorder can join dual diagnosis treatment groups. KHP has an emergency food pantry open on Tue and Thurs after 12:30pm. Other culturally respectful services offered: 1. Addiction treatment (Intensive Outpatient, Outpatient, Motivational Pre-treatment, Continuing Care) 2. Substance Abuse Assessments 3. Assistance to send a participant to residential treatment off island (if funds permit) Ka Hale Pomaika’i offers their office as a Recovery Community Center serving as a forum for support such as 12-step meetings, Ohana gatherings and learning circles with Kupuna. All services that KHP offers are conducted with a focus on Native Hawaiian traditions and values.

HomeAid's Kauhale Management Division provides secure, shared housing at Kipuola Kauahale, light case management, job readiness support, and opportunities for education and community engagement primarily for single individuals.  Additional support for mental health resources and counseling referrals, transportation assistance for work or school, and health and wellness programs for residents may be available. Residents have their own "sleeping pod" but share communal space (toilet, shower, kitchen, computer lab, public areas, etc.).  Residents are required to attend weekly or monthly community meetings, help with shared chores to maintain the common areas, follow site policies for safety, treat others with kindness and respect, and stay engaged with job training, education, or personal development activities.
