(Society for Konas Education and Art) Offers Kona schools a "menu" of art (performing, literary & visual) activities for teachers. Works with the teachers to expand upon curriculum themes. Sponsors a youth group to advise on youth programs. Offers art workshops for adults & children and special events such as concerts and ho'olaulea. Art Camps for Children and Magic Camp during the October school break.

Coordinates self-help housing projects consisting of 6 - 12 families in a building group. An experienced builder-foreman-teacher shows the group how to build. Saves about 25%-30% of the house cost. When 6 - 12 families build as a group, the houses are finished at the same time. Each family puts in the same number of hours of labor and builds the same house depending on family size. Uses "mass-construction" techniques. Takes 6 - 12 months to build the houses.

(HUOA) The Legacy Ballroom is a fully air-conditioned, multi-functional auditorium/theater and banquet hall, featuring a 40 foot wide theater stage, a professional lighting and sound system and a large projection screen that drops from above the stage. A beautiful garden provides the perfect setting for an outdoor wedding and picture taking. The Ballroom can accommodate up to 800 guests for a sit-down banquet or up to 1,200 guests for a stand-up reception or in a theater style sitting configuration. The Legacy Ballroom can also be divided into two smaller rooms, Legacy I and Legacy II. Our Legacy I Ballroom seats (min.) 200 to 350 (max.) guests, and our Legacy II Ballroom seats (min.) 125 to 200 (max.) guests.

(AHED, AHED Foundation) Affordable Housing and Economic Development Foundation (AHED) functions primarily as a funding organization that secures affordable housing and economic opportunity grants, loans or other funding and partners with affordable housing developers and service providers to provide affordable housing and economic opportunities to residents in need. We work to create, develop, and preserve low-income housing. We also support programs that provide job training, childcare services, and economic development. We do this by securing private and public loans and grants to fund affordable housing development. We then partner with housing developers and service providers to provide affordable housing.

(North Shore Food Bank) North Shore Food Bank provides a walk up or drive through food distribution at Kaiaka Bay beach park. Additional community services include help with community health servies, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) application help, and other information for person who may be houseless. (Hawaii County Third Circuit Keahuolū Courthouse Self Help Center) The Kona Court Self-Help Center will provide legal help to the West Hawaii community on a pilot basis. Volunteer attorneys from the West Hawaii Bar Association will provide limited legal information by telephone in areas such as landlord-tenant, family, and other district court matters.

The Institute for Human Services outreach helps people in Districts 1, 4, 5, 6, and 7 at service fairs, in night outreach, and with assisted community treatment.
