The City and County of Honolulu provides 10 public refuse drop-off locations: 6 convenience centers, 3 transfer stations and 1 landfill, around the island for residents to dispose of their household rubbish. Residents may use any of these locations free of charge. Maintains sites for disposal of ordinary household refuse. Convenience centers are reserved for residential waste material only, commercial or business refuse (from tree trimmers, roofers, plumbers, small stores, farmers, etc.) is strictly prohibited. Provides information on disposal of other wastes such as dead animals (Animal carcasses and waste products should be taken to City landfill), demolition, construction debris, asbestos or hazardous materials.

(HCBS) Adult Day Health in combination with Community Learning Services Group supports participants through a set of services on site and community based. Residential Habilitation provides individualized supports that assist the resident with the acquisition, retention, or improvement in skills related to living in the community. Chore Service provides services to maintain the home as a clean, sanitary and safe environment in order to ensure the participant’s health and welfare. Community Learning Services, Individual supports participant’s integration in the community. Personal Assistance/Habilitation includes a range of assistance or habilitative training services provided in the participant’s own home or family home to enable a participant to acquire, retain and/or improve skills related to living in his/her home. Training and Consultation assist unpaid caregivers, paid service supervisors and/or paid support staff in implementing the goals and outcomes developed from the person-centered planning process included in the Individualized Service Plan. RCH started its Developmental Disabilities Domiciliary Homes program in 1977. The homes were built by RCH with funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The homes are licensed and monitored by the State Department of Health. Currently, RCH operates two domiciliary homes with a capacity of housing and providing services for up to four residents in each home. The homes are managed by Domiciliary Home Managers who provide a family environment and support the residents in developing their independent daily living skills through integration in the community. The program consists of a highly structured skill developmental training program focused on personal care, social integration, and systematic positive behavior changes. The program is complemented with a day activity program and transportation services.

The Department of Water Supply is a semi-autonomous agency of the County of Hawaii that is governed by the Water Board. Hawaii Rx Card is a FREE prescription assistance program that is available to all citizens of Hawaii. The program was launched to help the uninsured, but it can also be used to discount drugs not covered by health insurance. There are no applications, fees, resrtictions, or eligibility requirements. The Hawaii Rx Card is accepted at all chain pharmacies. No personal information is required to get the card; no personal information is collected on processed prescriptions. (Perinatal Addiction Treatment of Hawaii) PATH Clinic's focus is assisting pregnant and parenting women with a history of substance use disorders. Services include obstetrics/gynecology, primary medical care, behavioral health, tobacco treatment, insurance navigation, and other support. PATH Clinic's “Childbirth Education Classes” aims to achieve better health outcomes for both mother and child and more capable parenting. Classes are held three times each month 1:30 pm - 4:00 pm.

(Family Peace Center - Maui) Maui Family Peace Center teaches non-violent problem-solving skills for families struggling with adult aggression and behavioral dysfunction, emphasizing partnership, equality, and respect among families. Support for survivors/victims and child witnesses of domestic violence that includes individual and group counseling, case management, parental classes, community referrals and legal system advocacy. Support for offenders includes violence intervention groups. Adolescent services provided free of charge for those in need of effective problem solving skills to manage anger and/or those exhibiting violent behavior and anger control issues; anyone can refer themselves or a family member. Community education and training for schools, community groups, and agencies available.

(Family Visitation Center - Oahu) Family Visitation Centers provide a safe, neutral setting for children to visit with their non-custodial parents or transition from one parent to the other. After a divorce or separation, family visitation services may be arranged by agreement of both parents and by court order.

Gregory House Programs's Save the FoodBasket program delivers food to those who are house bound or in rural areas and distributes groceries at a rented space in a centrally located church. Information on the distribution location available upon the completion of a referral. All recipients get an equal amount of frozen meats, produce, dairy, and non-perishable goods. Hot lunches are available twice a week. Other services include limited toiletries and cleaning supplies, nutrition classes, and nutrition counseling.

The Back-to-School Brigade is an annual nationwide campaign by Operation Homefront that collects and distributes school supplies to eligible dependents of service members. Through this assistance program, military children receive free back-to-school supplies, including backpacks, to help them start the new school year on the right foot.
