HHHRC offers ongoing, free, non-judgmental wound care services in our office and in a street-based setting. The clinic provides basic wound care that can be managed in a community setting, which inludes, but is not limited to: -Simple i&Ds that were preformed at the bedside and/or were discharged from the ED -Typical level 4 or 5 patients (based on triage acuity) -Patients appropriate for outpatient setting needing follow-up -Patients with chronic wounds without evidence of acute infection and not requiring IV antibiotics -Dermis layer or subcutaneous layer wounds that do not require debridement -Cellulitis patients without SIRS and reliable to follow-up -Dressing changes with discharge orders

Emphasis is placed on individual choice, allowing adults to pursue opportunities that match their interests and skills while promoting their dignity and independence. The program provides daily respite for individual and family caregivers as well as provides participants with educational, social, health and recreational opportunities. Organized in 1979, the Hawaii Pacific Gerontological Society (HPGS) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life of Hawaii’s older adults. We promote the understanding of the aging process, supportive services, and legislation that help people age with dignity and grace. It is the largest voluntary, multidisciplinary group in the State committed to dialogue and discussion, networking and information sharing on issues and policies affecting older adults in this geographical area. Currently, more than 400 older adults, caregivers, gerontology educators, medical and social service practitioners, health care providers, agency personnel and organizations from all sectors of the community make up the membership. Members can attend the meetings held three times a year.
