RICO investigates complaints that allege possible licensing violations. Licensing violations vary depending upon the particular license, but include allegations such as professional misconduct, misrepresentation, poor workmanship, substance abuse, or operating without a required license. RICO receives complaints from a wide variety of sources, including consumers, boards, other law enforcement agencies, other state boards, businesses, competitors, and licensees.

Kokua Kalihi Valley (KKV) is a community organization with the mission for "healing and reconciliation in the Kalihi Valley community". KKV serves residents in Kalihi Valley a Medically Underserved Area and Health Personnel Shortage Area, as designated by the Public Health Service. Services include: dental, medical, family planning, WIC nutrition, behavioral health, elderly services, elderly exercise classes, youth development, case management, transportation, translation, case management and outreach, sewing program and Micronesian women's group.

Basically the same as Alcoholics Anonymous' 12 step program. We substitute food for alcohol. We are a free walk-in program for people with various kinds of food disorders. We provide a safe place to discuss these issues, and teach the 12 step solution. No one member is in charge. We have no dues or fees. We have a secretary who leads the meetings and this position is cycled usually every three months.

(Ko'olauloa Health Center) Provides health screening such as blood pressure screening, blood tests, breast examinations, chest x-rays, drug/alcohol testing, hepatitis testing, pregnancy testing, psychological testing, sexually transmitted disease screening, etc. Other services include flu shots, information and referral, immunizations, well baby care, dental care, health education and more. Responsive to community needs. Promoting health and wellness in Koolauloa.

(EAP) Employee Assistance of the Pacific (EAP) provides short-term counseling services including assistance with family, relationship and workplace issues through contracts with employers. EAP offers limited substance abuse counseling, assessment, and referrals, critical incident debriefings following workplace trauma, on-site trainings in selected areas, management consults for troubled employees and other workplace issues.

(Hale Ho'omalu - Food Pantry, Neighborhood Places of Kauai) Food pantry operating out of All Saints Episcopal Church on Thursday 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm. Households with children limited to request food twice a month. Households with no children limited to request food once a month.

(LISS) Parents And Children Together (PACT) provides families in need on Lanai a number of services including comprehensive counseling and support services, voluntary case management, family strengthening services, foster care and adoption support, and supervised visitation. After hours appointments/groups available.

Assists Swiss citizens visiting or living in Hawaii (medical problems, legal issues, etc.). Provides information for potential visitors to Switzerland.

Maintains roads and highways, ditches, culverts and flood canals. Responds to all natural disasters and emergencies.

Provides congregate meals program for persons aged 60 and over at several Senior Center sites around the island. Includes leisure and socialization activities, along with nutrition education sessions. Provides lunches to those persons who are homebound due to illness, and/or are unable to prepare meals.

Kealia Pond is a National Wildlife Refuge that is home to native and endangered Hawaiian waterbirds. No dogs or pets allowed.

(Maui Second Circuit Self Help Center Hoapili Hale) The Maui Court Self-Help Center will provide legal help to the community on a pilot basis. Volunteer attorneys from the Maui County Bar Association will provide limited legal information by telephone in areas such as landlord-tenant, family, and other district court matters. Access by telephone for Molokai, Lanai and Hana residents only when the center is open. The Center does not accept voice messages. Court Navigators for Lanaʻi, Maui, and Molokaʻi are now available by email In 2018, an in-person Volunteer Court Navigator Program was established in the Second Circuit (Maui County). Volunteer Court Navigators assisted unrepresented individuals at Hoapili Hale by answering questions concerning court resources, locations, and procedures. Note: Volunteer Court Navigators cannot provide legal advice or representation. The Volunteer Court Navigator Program has expanded to include services by email. (Ohana Finding) Family Finding is a process designed to identify, locate and engage family members of children and youth who are in foster care. Family Finding utilizes database case mining and internet searches to identify and locate family and other possible relatives. Individuals who are identified as possible relatives are verified via phone contact and/or letters, and names of confirmed family members are compiled onto maternal and paternal family lists. These lists are then submitted to Child Welfare Services (CWS), the GAL, and the EPIC Ohana Conference coordinator or the Ohana Connections specialist to assist them in engaging relatives to help care for, provide support for, or reconnect to the child in care. Administers the Occupational Safety and Health Law and the Boiler and Elevator Safety Law. Conducts investigations of workplace catastrophes or fatalities and employee complaints regarding workplace hazards. Provides consultation to employers and training to employers and employees to encourage voluntary compliance with the Occupational Safety and Health Law standards and rules.
