Designed to eliminate disease and health risks to the Hawaiian community through programs specific to the general Hawaiian population. Emphasizes nutrition and diabetes. Promotes wellness and disease prevention. Provides referrals to physicians, physician assistants and nurse practitioners. Provides information in traditional Hawaiian healing practices such as Lomi Lomi (Hawaiian massage therapy). Also offers breast and cervical cancer screening. Also offers a tobacco cessation program.

Provides a comprehensive recreational program in the community. Facilities include a multi-purpose building, basketball, volleyball and tennis courts and two fields. There are three program periods throughout the year: Fall, spring and summer. Activities are geared for all ages, including classes in arts and crafts, Hawaiiana, games and sports, music, seasonal activities and crafts, and excursions. A list of activities, registration dates, and program period information is published in the Midweek prior to registration.

Fosters, promotes, maintains and encourages the historical, social, commercial and cultural vitality of Lahaina. Welcomes calls, questions, concerns about any aspect of LahainaTown. Coordinates and produces major annual events. Maintains a visitor center at old Lahaina courthouse. Distributes free information, maps and brochures.

Provides volunteers for the MPRRC races, Tinman Triathlon and other charity fun run activities. Volunteers will be acknowledged and appreciated for their community service.

(Isolation/Quarantine Orders) For university students attending University of Hawaii campuses across the state, such as UHM, Chaminade University, and Hawaii Pacific University: University students from out-of-state who are studying on Oahu and Kauai can participate in modified quarantine procedures that create a so-called ""modified quarantine bubble"" (MQB) The MQB allows these students to avoid the standard 14-day quarantine when courses begin in the fall semester. (Students began moving into UHM residence halls on Monday, August 17, and courses begin on Monday, August 24.) The MQB includes the following requirements: -All students planning to participate in the MQB must have tested negative for COVID-19, either within 72 hours of their departure when they flew to Hawaii or within 48 hours of their arrival in Hawaii. -Anyone not receiving a negative test must follow the mandatory 14-day quarantine for all travelers to Hawaii. Kane Connections provides 1:1 and group support for men in the Maui community. While we encourage the participation of fathers or male caregivers (grandpa, uncle etc..) all men are invited to participate in the Kane Connections Program. Kane Connections offers the following services: 1:1 support via in person visits at our office, at your home, or in the community. Hui Kane our Monday night mens group held at Hale Makana. Kamalama, a 12 week parenting class for men and their partner/co-parent based on Hawaiian Values and rooted in the understanding that parents are their children's first teachers.

(Food Pantry) Aiea Seventh Day Adventist Church provides food boxes for families in need as well as clean used clothing as needed. We provide grooming supplies as well.

Hawaiian Humane Society provides a pet microchipping service. Pet owners must also register their information with the company that manufactured their pet’s microchip or a free online database such as 24 Hour PetWatch or Found Animals. In 2022, the City and County of Honolulu replaced the dog licensing system with rules requiring that all pet dogs 3 months and older and cats 4 months and older must have microchip identification. Cats six months or older who are allowed outdoors are required by law to wear a collar with an identification tag.

State of Hawaii Department of Health Environmental Management provides guidance on staying healthy during the post-flood cleanup. Information includes floodwater safety, safe cleanup procedures, mold cleanup and prevention, recommended personal protective equipment (PPE), power outage and food safety, disease risk and prevention, mosquito control, when to seek medical care, caring for your mental health after a disaster, additional safety reminders, and links to more online resources. The Family Law Division performs all Family Court actions on behalf of the state including child and adult protective services, truancies, adolescent mental health cases, involuntary civil mental commitments hearings, minor and adult guardianship, adoptions, etc. Our specialized units (Family Support Unit) perform paternities and (Dead Beat Parents Unit) dead beat parents. The division also provides support to the Child Support Enforcement Agency.

North Shore Mental Health provides services to clients in adult behavioral and mental health. Programs include: Community Based Case Management, PAB, ADAD, and our Leahi medical respite program.

(Hawaii Home Energy Assistance Program - Energy Crisis Intervention, H-HEAP, Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program - Energy Crisis Intervention, LIHEAP ECI, ECI, Energy Crisis Intervention) Assists households who are at the verge of getting their electricity/utility terminated or electricity/utility has been terminated within 60 days from the date of the application. Disconnection notice required. 48 hours processing time once application is received, $650 maximum amount per client

Provides electrical connection, disconnection and repair services.

Interprets Hawaiian ethnobotany and conserves Hawaiian traditions relating to horticultural practices and land use. Covers twelve acres and includes a five acre archaeological remnant of the prehistoric agricultural zone that once dominated the Kona district. Collection includes agricultural cultivars and plants introduced by the Polynesians, as well as a collection of nearly one hundred native Hawaiian plants. Located just south of mile marker 110 on Hwy 11 in South Kona.

Provides counseling and referral for Air Force personnel and family members who have been sexually harassed or discriminated against on basis of race, color, sex, religion, or national origin. Investigates sexual harassment or discrimination complaints.

Regulates quality of drinking water provided by public water systems. Ensures that microbiological and chemical contaminants are not introduced into drinking water. Branch regulates public water systems, underground injection wells and performs groundwater monitoring. Water quality complaints and inquiries are generally referred to the water system owner or the building owner. Testing services are not a function of the Department of Health.

Operates camp and conference center for children and adults. The camp provides high quality facilities and programs which foster leadership and service in the Christian community.

The objective of the Housing Division is to create housing opportunities for low and moderate income residents through partnerships with community organization with the objectives of: Developing long-term affordable rental housing units, increasing availability of home ownership opportunities, developing special needs housing with appropriate support services

The Relocation Program provides services to inbound and outbound soldiers and family members about resources that are needed to make informed decisions and to reduce problems that occur due to frequent moves. Services include relocation planning, pre-arrival information, welcome packet, newcomer's orientation, island tour and immigration informational workshops. Additionally, a lending closet is available with basic household items which are loaned at no charge to soldiers and family members in transition.

Visit the website and select the "Get Alerts" option under the "Plan & Prepare" menu at the top of the website. Some stations have links so you can listen live online.
