(Domestic Abuse Shelter) Domestic Abuse Shelters provide a safe haven for abused partners and their children. It is a time-out period for abused partners to learn about the dynamics of domestic violence, the cycle of abuse and how to develop a "safety plan". It is also a time for learning about and making choices; discovering that they are not at fault for the abuse; building self-esteem and learning self-empowerment. The Domestic Abuse Shelters help families and children escape from domestic violence and establish independent lives. The Shelter offers up to 120 days of a safe haven, basic needs (food, clothing etc.), counseling and services for children. Program participants learn dynamics of domestic violence, develop safety plans, improve self-esteem and learn healthy parenting skills. Children develop safety plans and learn they’re not responsible for domestic violence. The shelters offer: -Domestic violence crisis hotline -Lodging and food -Crisis counseling -Individual counseling -Educational workshops -Support groups -Information, referral & advocacy -Children's program -Assistance with obtaining a TRO (Temporary Restraining Order), housing and financial aid -Volunteer program Clients learn dynamics of domestic violence, develop safety plan, improve self-esteem and learn healthy parenting skills. Neighborhood Boards provide input and recommendations to government agencies and elected officials. Addresses issues and concerns at the city, state, or federal level. Neighborhood Board members are volunteers who are elected to a two-year term. Oahu has 33 Boards which meet once a month in their respective communities.

ISG is a local distributor for many key mainland manufacturers of high and low technology such as desktop and portable video magnifiers, screen reading computer programs, and many other low vision aids. ISG sells and services assistive listening and alerting devices such as FM listening systems and telephone/doorbell alerting systems. ISG conducts assessment with people with disabilities to evaluate their need for assistive technology that can aid in one's productivity for independent living or employment. ISG coordinates services from a fully accessible, model home in Honolulu where an array of technology is on display for people to "try before you buy". ISG hosts the Assistive Technology User Group meetings.

Ambulatory patients needing medical transportation to the 13 Western States; Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, New Mexico, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Washington and Wyoming may be eligible.
