AmeriCorps NCCC includes two routes: traditional and FEMA. Traditional Corps teams partner with local and national organizations to complete hands-on projects in a designated region of the country. Serve for 10 months as a Corps Member and gain a variety of professional experiences. Educate communities on sustainability and energy conservation, restore and build hiking trails, or build homes. Or serve for 11 months as a Team Leader and guide members through this transformative service experience. FEMA Corps Teams serve nationally under Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) direction to complete administrative projects related to disaster preparedness, mitigation, response, and recovery. Serve for 12 months and rack up professional skills that are highly transferable. Coordinate with nonprofits and government agencies, plan response and relief efforts during a disaster, or conduct damage assessments after a disaster. Team Leaders also serve for 12 months in FEMA Corps.

(Ola I Ka Hana Youth Program - Kona) Program for low-income at at-risk youth who are in or out of school. Help with building skills to obtain a High School Equivalency or GED, exploring post-secondary education, and employment exploration.

North Shore Mental Health provides services to clients in adult behavioral and mental health. Programs include: Community Based Case Management, PAB, ADAD, and our Leahi medical respite program.

The purpose of the COVID-19 Emergency Response Volunteer at Hawaii State Hospital is to help the Forensic Psychiatric Hospital staff in its efforts to reduce spread of COVID-19 at the Hospital and in the community we serve. The volunteer will also help with efforts to inform staff, patients, family members of patients, and others in the Hospital's service community on how they can help reduce risk of spreading or contracting COVID-19. Volunteers will help by using, modeling, informing and educating staff and others at the Hospital in safe physical distancing ("social distancing" six feet or more), using electronic communications and internet-based group communications apps to hold meetings, practicing hand hygiene, and special infection control measures to prevent transmission of the coronavirus that causes COVID-19. Volunteer roles may include, as needed:

• Assist Hospital Administration sort, convey and communicate incoming CDC, DOH and other COVID-19 information
• Assist with written communication

Database of publications about the condition of children and families. Informs the public about child, family, including aging issues. Maintains an online Data Center housing hundreds of child and family indicators.

Provides home care services to homebound patients: skilled nursing, occupational therapy, medical social services, home health aides, physical therapy and speech therapy. Offers intravenous therapy (i.e., fluids, antibiotics, nutritional fluids), wound care, teaching patient and/or family member appropriate skills to care for self or patient. Aides assist with bathing, ambulation, feeding, light housekeeping.

Provides healthcare and emotional support to individuals facing a life-ending illness. Enhances the quality of life for both the patient and their family, enabling them to live their remaining days in comfort and with dignity.

(Seagulls School EEC) Early childhood education and preschool services. Children do not have to be toilet trained.

Private school includes grades K-8 for boys and girls.

(The Boo Boo Zoo) Provides treatment, care and rehabilitation of injured, sick, and orphaned animals. Rescues and cares for animals in distress. Average on site numbers 400 animals including dogs, cats, goats, sheep, cow, horses, deer, fowl, birds. Even if we aren't facilitated to intake an animal still call. We can help, advise or direct you to a source. Staff are all volunteers, donations are sole support.

Conducts forestry research in Hawaii and Pacific Basin islands. Studies ecosystem restoration, species trials and agroforestry studies. Awards grants for urban and community forestry, forest stewardship of private lands, rural development, natural resources conservation education, etc. Makes cost-share payments and subgrants to non-profit groups and private landowners or lessees.

Offers legal assistance for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Questioning (LGBTQ) people who have experienced discrimination.

Reporting missing persons.

Parents And Children Together (PACT) offers safe, compassionate, and confidential support in three counties for youth and families coping with serious behavioral, social and emotional challenges. Our evidence-based therapeutic models focus on family networks and relationships, school or job performance, peer connections and relationships, and community networks of support. All services are provided free of charge with referrals.

Participants learn the important values in self-esteem, nature lessons, social enhancement skills, utilizing creativity, teamwork and the importance of Staying Drug Free.
