Hawaii Agricultural Foundation's program In the Fields brings learning to life with fully funded field trips that take students and teachers onto working farms across Hawaii. These experiences provide firsthand exposure to agriculture, connecting classroom lessons to the land, crops, and farmers who sustain our islands. By engaging directly with local agriculture, students build a stronger understanding of where food comes from and the importance of supporting Hawaii’s farmers.

(DV Services for Families, DVSF) The Survivor and Children Support Services, (SCSS), focuses on supporting personal healing with families involved in both child welfare and domestic violence. SCSS provides an array of services to help families understand the difference between unhealthy and healthy family dynamics, strengthen parenting skills to include, learning how to better empathize with children's emotions, and become empowered by the use of community referrals. The SCSS Program's goal is to ensure and promote survivor safety and independence, and to strengthen child resilience.

(988, National Suicide Prevention Lifeline) Suicide prevention and crisis intervention service available to anyone in suicidal crisis or emotional distress. Callers to the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline are routed to the nearest accredited crisis center in the caller's area. 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline calls are answered by staff at over 200 accredited crisis centers across the United States who provide callers with crisis counseling and mental health referrals. The Lifeline’s Crisis and Text Chat Service routes chat visitors to a subnetwork of crisis centers accredited in providing online emotional support. Callers who meet the eligibility requirements are mailed the name of an ophthalmologist participating near their home. Participating physicians provide a comprehensive, medical eye exam and care for anything diagnosed at the initial visit for up to one year at no out-of-pocket cost for the physician's services. Eyeglasses, prescriptions, and hospital services are not covered under the program.

Lanakila Teaching and Learning Centers (TLC), a program of Lanakila Pacific, assists adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities with mastering basic skills to expand their life experiences and foster a sense of independence. Focusing on each person’s individual needs, Adult Day Health programs located in Honolulu and Wahiawa offer in-house classes, community outings and recreational opportunities that can help participants build the confidence and skills needed to integrate into the community as well as engage in volunteer and pre-vocational activities. The Employment Exploration component enables participants to identify interests and explore potential integrated employment settings.

The federal Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) provides crucial food and nutritional support to qualifying low-income and needy households, and those making the transition from welfare to self-sufficiency. The SNAP processing center provides public assistance, food stamps (SNAP) and financial assistance, to eligible individuals and families. They handle new applications and ongoing assistance. A paper copy of the application can be downloaded, printed, signed and submitted via US postal mail or dropped off in the drop box. Our Writing Retreat is not exactly a class but is an opportunity to meet and write in company with other beginning and experienced writers. Here we tap into our mutual creative energy. After introductions, we collect ideas in response to a starter prompt, then each person begins to draft a story, poem, memoir, argument or whatever. In small groups we read these diverse pieces and give each other non-critical reader responses.

Air Fare interisland and mainland - for patients not covered by other insurance coverage. Reduced rate lodging - at hotels in Hawaii for patients who must travel for treatment. Hope lodge - free overnight housing for patients traveling to the mainland for treatment.

Provides a comprehensive recreational program in the community. There are three program periods throughout the year: Fall, spring and summer. Activities are geared for all ages, including classes in arts and crafts, Hawaiiana, games and sports, music, seasonal activities and crafts, and excursions. A list of activities, registration dates, and program period information is published in the Midweek prior to registration.

Common Grace facilitates partnerships between public elementary schools and nearby neighborhood churches in order to provide mentors for at-risk children. Volunteers goes through our basic training seminar that we have through out the school year. We look for mentors that have willing and loving hearts ready to be a friend to the kids at the local elementary school.
