Lanakila Teaching and Learning Centers (TLC), a program of Lanakila Pacific, assists adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities with mastering basic skills to expand their life experiences and foster a sense of independence.
Focusing on each person’s individual needs, Adult Day Health programs located in Honolulu and Wahiawa offer in-house classes, community outings and recreational opportunities that can help participants build the confidence and skills needed to integrate into the community as well as engage in volunteer and pre-vocational activities.
The Employment Exploration component enables participants to identify interests and explore potential integrated employment settings.
Financial Administration Division

Protects the interests of owners of unclaimed property. Locates unclaimed property owners, heirs, or beneficiaries. Advises claimants on requirements to prove property ownership. Plans, markets and monitors bond issues. Maintains state debt accounting records, redeems bonds and coupons, and assists bondholders with lost, stolen, defaced or destroyed bonds and coupons. Monitors the financial market and invests state funds. Receives, deposits and disburses state funds. Maintains custody of public funds and securities. Processes transfers of funds to trustees for debt service payments and to financial institutions for investment purposes.
Kahala Community Park

Provides a comprehensive recreational program in the community. Facilities include a multi-purpose building and a field. There are three program periods throughout the year: Fall, spring and summer. Activities are geared for all ages, including classes in arts and crafts, games and sports, seasonal activities and crafts, and excursions. A list of activities, registration dates, and program period information is published in the Midweek prior to registration.
Ohana Care - Oahu

(CFS Gerontology Program - Ohana Care) Caregivers who provide the primary care to individuals who are disabled, frail, and/or isolated residents on Oahu, who are 60
years of age or older, on an as needed basis are eligible for case management, counseling, and training services.
Training topics may include: ADL/ADL limitations, caregiver’s role, disease prevention and remediation, access to available resources, stages of disease and options/ referrals in legal or financial related matters, RCI-REACH, and Arthritis Foundation related training. Staff will also provide information and referral sources when needed.
Designed to improve the quality of life for families, care receivers, and caregivers by offering a continuum of quality care that is flexible and individualized in order to prolong the care giving relationship. The program actively assists the care receiver and the caregiver in implementing an individualized, strengths based service plan on how to reduce stress and link with the appropriate community resources. The program also provides supportive counseling.

(Home Instruction for Parents of Preschool Youngsters) Home Instruction for Parents of Preschool Youngsters offers home based early childhood education for two, three, four and five year old children working with their parent(s) as their first teacher. The parent is provided with a set of carefully developed materials, curriculum and books designed to strengthen their child’s cognitive skills, early literacy skills, social/emotional and physical development. HIPPY is a parent involvement and school readiness program.
HIPPY covers the following 5 domains:
Literacy;
Language;
Science
; Motor (gross and fine)
; Math
. The curriculum is scripted to help parents deliver the lessons to their children with confidence.
HIPPY meets in various communities with a trained HIPPY Parent Educator 1 day a week for an hour for 30 weeks.
