Staff will be present at police interview if desired. Prevention education to schools and community also available. Also provides counseling services to anyone who has been sexually assaulted at anytime.

Provides order forms for vital records of birth, death, marriage and divorce. Applications for license to perform marriage ceremonies. For individuals impacted by the Maui Wildfires who need replacement vital records, an order may be placed online at https://vitrec.ehawaii.gov or call (808) 586-4602 or (808) 984-2400 ext. 6-4602. A relative may make the order on behalf of the person needing the replacement by uploading a copy of their own government ID (if born in Hawaii) to establish a relationship to the impacted individual. If not born in Hawai‘i, additional documents may need to be shown to verify the relationship. Permitted relatives can include a grandparent, parent, child, sibling, aunt, uncle, or cousin. The fee for an affected individual’s first copy of a birth or marriage certificate will be waived with a FEMA disaster assistance ID Number and/or a Lahaina residential address. Classes address the general concepts about preparing for homeownership and the buying process; individual coaching provides support to identify buyer resources and create an action plan to become mortgage ready. The umbilical cord blood contains the same kind of special cells as bone marrow, and like bone marrow, has been used in transplants to cure patients with otherwise fatal diseases. It’s safe, it’s free, and it’s confidential. If uncollected, umbilical cord is discarded as medical waste. Hawaii Cord Blood Bank (HCBB) offers umbilical cord donation at all 5 birthing hospitals on Oahu (Kapiolani, Queens, Kaiser, Tripler and Adventist Health Castle).

(Emergency and Transitional Housing Programs) HOPE emergency shelter programs provide shelter for families and individuals that are homeless or at imminent risk of becoming homeless. Services include intake/assessment, case management, referrals/linkages to community resources, access to bed space, storage, meals, laundry, food pantry and clothing bank. On-site life skills classes also provided. Referrals by County's Coordinated Entry System (CES) only.

Kokua Support Services provides Intensive Outpatient, Outpatient, and After Care Treatment for clients who require this level of care.

Youth identified as requiring intensive mental health services may be enrolled with the Department of Health (DOH) Family Guidance Center (FGC) located in the school district of their home school. They are assigned an FGC Mental Health Care Coordinator (MHCC) at that time. The youth may, and often will, continue to receive School-Based Behavioral Health (SBBH) services and supports from the Department of Education (DOE) in conjunction with the intensive mental health services.

Support is also provided during police, medical examinations and legal matters surrounding the crime, advocacy, counseling, and therapy.

(Ronald T.Y. Moon Kapolei Courthouse Access to Justice Room) Volunteer attorneys provide limited legal advice to unrepresented litigants involved in a civil case in the Family Court.
