Hawaii Home Energy Assistance Program - Energy Crisis Intervention-Kalihi-Palama

Households with low-income who have received a notice of disconnection (gas and electricity). Regardless of income, households with at least one member receiving TANF, SSI or SNAP (food stamps) are eligible. Applicants must have a notice of disconnection, an active utility account, and be at or below 150% of the Federal Poverty Guideline. Everyone who lives in the house (or uses the electricity if more than one dwelling is on one electric meter) must be listed as part of the household. Must provide photo ID for all adult household members, Social Security Numbers for all household members, proof of income, proof of address, and current, original utility bill.

(H-HEAP, Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program-Energy Crisis Intervention-Kalihi-Pala, LIHEAP ECI, ECI) Hawaii Home Energy Assistance Program (H-HEAP) Energy Crisis Intervention (ECI) is designed to help families keep their utilities (gas or electric) on, especially those households that are most vulnerable, such as the elderly, the disabled, and households with young children. H-HEAP primarily assists households by applying an energy assistance grant directly to the energy provider on behalf of the eligible household. Applications are accepted year-round.
