Hina's Legacy Rescue Foundation offers community outreach and pop up events. Services such as free pet food, harnesses, collars, bedding, towels, diapers for pets, etc. are offered when available.

Serves the low-income, underprivileged, disabled and the elderly by designing, administering and mobilizing programs and resources so that the underprivileged may gain confidence, knowledge and independence. Operates multi-programs under departments: Mediation, Group Homes, Elderly and Nutrition Services, and Homeless and Health services. Uses volunteers extensively in the elderly program. Also administers one time grants for persons in need.

(Hiilei Developmental Screening Program) -Hi'ilei Development Screening Program - a free resource for children birth to 5 years old. The Hi`ilei program provides developmental screens and information for families. -Development - children grow and develop throughout their life. Early skills include smiling for the first time, waving “bye bye”, and taking a first step. As they grow, children develop more skills as they play, learn, speak, socialize, and move. -Developmental Screening - a developmental screen is a simple set of questions about what a child can do. It helps families find out if their child is developing like other children of similar age.

(Alcohol and Drug-Impaired Driving Prevention) The Campaign to Eliminate Drunk Driving includes: Supporting law enforcement’s efforts to apprehend impaired drivers and to deter others from driving while impaired, Working for effective ignition interlock (in-car breathalyzer) laws in states to keep known risky drivers off our roads, Working with a national team toward technology on all new cars to prevent drivers with illegal blood alcohol from operating the vehicle. We also: Educate teens and parents about alcohol and the problems associated with underage drinking, Conduct public awareness programs like Tie One On for Safety which asks drivers to tie a MADD red ribbon onto their vehicles to pledge to be a safe and non-drinking driver over the holidays, Gather once a year to raise funds at our Walk Like MADD event that remembers, inspires and commits with our community of victims, survivors, partners and supporters.

(HAND, Hawaii Dietetic Association) Maintains a professional organization for nutritionists and dietitians. Provides resource information about nutrition. Visit the website for more information.

Susannah Wesley Community Center (SWCC) volunteers serve as a welcoming point of contact for neighbors seeking support. Volunteers help with food assistance, diapers, sorting donations for the free store, and being personal shoppers in the free store.

Environmental education for families and children

Provides a national toll-free phone line to answer commonly asked questions on postal service, such as service hours, zip code and address information, and mailing rates. A caller attempting to reach a postal worker in Hawaii, or who asks a question that cannot be answered by Mainland operators, will be given a local number to call. Also provides U.S. Passports and voter ballot forms also available at several Post Office locations.

(TANF, TAONF) The federal Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) Program provides temporary cash assistance to eligible families. The monthly cash assistance given to families may be used to pay for food, clothing, housing and utility expenses, and other daily needs. Eligible families include at least one specified relative adult and a minor dependent child who resides in the same home. In addition, family members must be US citizens. The State of Hawaii Temporary Assistance for Other Needy Families (TAONF) Program provides the same benefits and services to Hawaii’s vulnerable families with children as the TANF program. The TAONF program eligibility includes mixed citizens and non-citizens, and single- and two-parent households. Conducts all law enforcement. Receives all public service calls. Administers firearms registration. Handles abandoned vehicle reporting. Provides information regarding traffic services. Also provides information on the Neighborhood Watch Program.

Operates Hale Ho`ike`ike at the Bailey House and museum shop on the road to `Iao Valley. Displays ancient Hawaiian artifacts and missionary memorabilia in the 1830s home of Edward Bailey. Also on display are 17 oil paintings by Bailey dating to 1860.

Administers public service program for volunteers from community groups, churches, or businesses who agree to pick up litter on a section of highway their organization has adopted. Volunteers pick up litter on the specified section of highway at least four times a year. Provides high visibility vests, trash bags and safety information for volunteers. Removes filled bags and heavy hazardous items from roadsides. Erects signs on the highways to recognize volunteers' cleaning efforts.

(Ko'olauloa Health Center) Provides health screening such as blood pressure screening, blood tests, breast examinations, chest x-rays, drug/alcohol testing, hepatitis testing, pregnancy testing, psychological testing, sexually transmitted disease screening, etc. Other services include flu shots, information and referral, immunizations, well baby care, dental care, health education and more. Responsive to community needs. Promoting health and wellness in Koolauloa.

Operates work and resocialization furlough. In-house programs include substance abuse and sex offenders treatment programs.

Provides irrigation water to farmers.

Administers the laws governing collective bargaining issues in public employment and limited sector of private employment. Resolves complaints dealing with representation or union election issues and unfair labor practices.

(Saint Andrew's Schools - Queen Emma Preschool, St. Andrew's Schools, Queen Emma Preschool, The Preschool) Queen Emma Preschool is a co-educational independent preschool serving children ages 2 years old - 5 years old.

Saint Matthew's Episcopal Church provides a food sack to participants who are in need of food, 1 bag per adult. Emergency requests are answered as soon as we find out about it, or when the person is referred to us by social agency as well as our own congregation each Sunday. Beach dwellers and families in multiple family situations are helped with food as soon as we are notified. We also provide used clothing, sheets, blankets, and towels when these items are available.

(Womens Health) Provides women's health care services including annual well-woman exams, pap smears, clinical breast exams, birth control and contraception. Diagnoses and treats minor gynecological concerns and sexually transmitted infections. Provides pregnancy testing, pregnancy and postpartum care, breastfeeding and lactation consulting. Teen counseling and education is available. Offers perimenopausal and menopausal support.

Provides support group for persons desiring to stop living out of patterns of sex or love addiction. Uses 12-step program format (based on Alcoholics Anonymous) which encourages members to share experiences and promotes personal change.
