Salvation Army Hawaii has a 50 beds (cots) overnight shelter for adults only. Dinner is provided. Check in time Monday-Sunday 4:00 pm on a first come, first served basis. Central Union Church Windward is a Hawaii Food Bank Agency authorized to receive FDA products, therefore our program is required to have our clients sign a form confirming the need and number of individuals in the household. There is no religious affiliation required.

Spay and Neuter Services

(KHS) Until February 2024, a Grant-in-Aid program from the State of Hawaii keeps the cost of the spay and neuter services to $35 per animal and includes a microchip if the animal needs one. Surgery must be paid for in advance and is Non-Refundable. Funding assistance for qualified individuals may be available through our Spay Neuter Assistance Program (SNAP). Download the form from the website and email completed form.
Cats must be at least two pounds, two months, and in good health. Dogs must be at least three months old. Please see your regular vet prior to scheduling surgery if you have any health concerns. Kauai Humane Society reserves the right to deny surgery to any animal.
Dogs must arrive on a leash. Cats must arrive in an enclosed carrier. Small animals must arrive in an enclosed carrier.

Hawaii Fire Department
