(VASH, Travelers Aid of Honolulu) The mission of Visitor Aloha Society of Hawaii (VASH) is to share Aloha with visitors who have been victims of a crime or other adversities, and to provide follow-up assistance and support in an effort to create a positive memory of their stay in our islands. The type of assistance provided varies on a case by case basis. Visitor Aloha Society of Hawaii offers assistance and support through information and referrals, emergency ground transportation, and resources for meals and lodging. Assistance is also provided with changes to travel plans and for emotional support. We do not pay for airline tickets, hotel stays, medical or dental expenses, and funeral expenses.

(PPA) The Partnership for Prescription Assistance brings together America’s pharmaceutical companies, doctors, other health care providers, patient advocacy organizations and community groups to help qualifying patients who lack prescription coverage get the medicines they need through the public or private program that’s right for them. Its mission is to increase awareness of patient assistance programs and boost enrollment of those who are eligible.
It is a service available by phone and web site that acts like a clearinghouse, checking all known discount or free services to try and meet prescription needs by eligible callers or web inquirers.
