Waikiki Health's HIV Early Intervention Services Program is committed to the early detection and treatment of HIV, which can help prevent the onset of AIDS and other opportunistic infections. Confidential HIV and Hepatitis C testing and counseling are available at the Waikiki Health’s Ohua Clinic in Waikiki and Makahiki Medical and Dental Clinic in McCully/Moiliili. Our prevention services team offers a wide variety of programs designed to reach individuals at risk for confronting HIV. Waikiki Health integrates HIV specialty care with primary medical, behavioral health, dental care and support services. Available as well during service hours at the Ohua Clinic in Waikiki

(Senior Helpline) 1) Senior Helpline for telephone consultation, information and referral to services available to older adults and family caregivers 2) Outreach to provide information to the entire community and locate isolated elders 3) Home visits for individual consultation 4) Follow up on frail elders 5) Speakers, exhibits, newsletter, informational materials such as Senior Handbook, lending library.

The Caregiver Foundation provides support for the caregivers and individuals needing care through practical and emotional support services and educational programs. Provides comprehensive care coordination, financial management, guardianship, conservatorship, trusteeship, community education programs and caregiver support groups.

(Puuhonua O Honaunau National Historical Park) Administers a national historical park in South Kona. Offers an opportunity to experience Hawaiian way of life as it was in the late 1700's. Conducts tours of the grounds by advance arrangement, including fish ponds, Hawaiian house models, native plants and the Hale o Keawe Heiau. The heiau is a temple that has been rebuilt; the original temple housed the bones of 23 chiefs. Pu'uhonua means a place of refuge or sanctuary.

(Moku Loa Group) Monitors activities and development on the Big Island for impacts on the environment, water/air quality, pollution, native species, and human health. Works to preserve and protect native species and natural resources, especially native rainforest, native bird and plant habitats, marine and costal areas. Presents monthly programs to inform and educate. Certified hike leaders provide outings for enjoyment and education. Sponsors service trips to maintain trails or protect unique resources.

(National Alliance on Mental Illness - Hawaii) NAMI Hawaii provides free mental health support groups and classes for people in recovery and the families that support them. (Tutu and Me Traveling Preschool) Tutu and Me aims to identify, recruit, and service this undeserved segment of the Native Hawaiian population through an innovative traveling preschool program done in cooperation with churches and community organizations serving the Hawaiian and part-Hawaiian community. Tutu and Me aims to meet the developmental needs of these young children and to support the grandparents as well as parents and other primary caregivers who are raising them. Teaching teams, comprised of early education educators, travel to pre-selected communities where they set up, conduct, and facilitate the program. The curriculum is organized around learning themes and cultural aspects, as well as those values that continue to influence the lives of native Hawaiian children, are also incorporated into the curriculum.

Investigates violations of certain federal statutes involving white collar crime, drugs, civil rights, kidnapping, bank robberies, extortion, organized crime, foreign countries. Collects facts and presents them to Justice Department Intelligence and Espionage Section. The FBI Honolulu Division also covers Guam, Saipan, and American Samoa.

Provides pre-recorded messages designed to provide information to consumers on a wide variety of issues from purchasing cars to credit card scams to vocational licensing. A source of information about commonly asked consumer and business questions.

(National Weather Service Honolulu Forecast Office) The Central Pacific Hurricane Center is located in Honolulu on the campus of the University of Hawaii at Manoa and issues the best watches, warnings, forecasts, and analyses of hazardous tropical weather.

Provides a variety of social, recreational and educational programs for all age groups, children to seniors that includes social recreational, physical activities, after school drop-in programs, performing arts, behavioral management, sports and educational program that includes positive youth development. Summer program includes the Summer Enrichment Program.

The Always Reading program works with partner schools to provide families of Pre-K and K students with a tablet, unlimited access to a digital children’s library featuring 40,000 diverse titles, gifted hard-copy books for their home libraries throughout the year, and a book coach. Students take the tablet home and our book coaches work with the families via text message to support and empower families to build strong reading routines in the home. Families keep the tablets once the program is complete.

(COVID-19 Testing) Does not turn anyone away that wants to get tested for COVID-19. Priority is given to the Kalihi Palama Health Center (KPHC) existing clients, those that are sick and have COVID-19 sypmtoms as well as the KPHC staff. KPHC provides documentation for employer, individuals that need to get tested to provide documentation for their employer, etc. will be at the bottom of the priority list to get tested. If an individual provides a referral from their doctor, the COVID-19 test results will be forwarded to their doctor and their doctor will notify them.

(Pathway of Hope, Salvation Army Kauluwela Community Assistance Center) The Salvation Army Community Assistance Center provides financial assistance for rent and utilities, pending funding availability. The program also offers intensive case management services known as Pathway of Hope (POH). POH is for families who are ready to break the cycle of intergenerational poverty and move towards self-sufficiency.

Plans, implements and stages the statewide celebration to honor memory of King Kamehameha the Great and his accomplishments. Celebration includes parades, cultural programs, Ho'olaule'a, hula competitions. Events staged each June.
