(Malama Aina Foundation) This program provides students and their facilitators from Native Hawaiian communities with hands-on learning activities combined with the experience of Hawaiian cultural values and practices, to achieve academic success in math and science. Activities include: 1. In-school science and math support for middle school students and teachers through curriculum training and supplement, tutoring, teaching, and mentoring; 2. After school hands-on STEM and Hawaiian cultural experiences, increasing student knowledge of STEM content as aligned to the common core math and next generation science standards; and 3. During intersession and summer breaks, expose students to STEM by integrating math and science with Hawaiian cultural practices.

Parents And Children Together's (PACT) HEART and Soul program provides group programs and mentoring services for children typically between the ages of 5 years old - 21 years old who have experienced sexual abuse. Supportive services assist youth in their healing process, guiding them toward a successful transition to adulthood. Group programs are also available for siblings and parents/caregivers. Provides classes for juveniles on probation with an opportunity to learn about the emotional, physical, psychological and financial impact their crimes have on victims and to accept responsibility for their harmful actions. The goal is to hold the offender accountable and to develop empathy for their victims.

The Home Maintenance Program does home improvements in partnership with family and community volunteers. When the project is completed, there is a 1-7 year “0” interest loan. The loan payments collected go into a revolving fund used to fund future home maintenance projects. Projects include installation of ramps and rails, stair repair, fence repair, gutter replacement, solar water heaters, appliance replacement, minor electrical and plumbing, window replacement, and termite treatment.

Provides trained volunteer mediators to act as impartial third parties who guide participants in conflict toward settlement. Handles divorce and family, neighbor, landlord/tenant, business cases, consumer/merchant, real estate, condominium, juvenile, and employer/employee cases, parenting plans, friend relationships, education, civil rights, Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO). Trainings and Youth Program also available. Cases mediated directly at Small Claims Court.

Provides special language assistance and support services for students whose first language or dominant home language is not English. Bilingual school/home assistants link parents with school.

(LITFP) The Low Income Transit Fare Program (LITFP) provides a discounted transit fare for income qualifying individuals. Applications accepted on a first come, first served basis. The LITFP program runs on the City and County of Honolulu's fiscal year (July 1st-June 30th), so clients will need to reapply ever fiscal year. The HOLO card may be prepaid or reloaded on a monthly basis. Do no apply if you a person with Supplemental Security Income (SSI). (Workforce Development - Kauai) Provides job training, placement, and case management services for individuals receiving TANF (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families)/VR (Vocational Rehabilitation) assistance.

(Alaka'i Na Keiki) Alakai Na Keiki provides children, youth and adults with psychological and substance abuse assessments, sex abuse, mental health and substance abuse treatment as well as individual and group therapy.

(Domestic Violence Shelter, Domestic Abuse Shelter - Hilo) Domestic Abuse Shelters provide a safe haven for abused partners and their children. It is a time-out period for abused partners to learn about the dynamics of domestic violence, the cycle of abuse and how to develop a "safety plan". It is also a time for learning about and making choices; discovering that they are not at fault for the abuse; building self-esteem and learning self-empowerment. The Domestic Abuse Shelters help families and children escape from domestic violence and establish independent lives. The shelter offers up to 120 days of a safe haven, basic needs (food, clothing etc.), counseling and services for children. Program participants learn dynamics of domestic violence, develop safety plans, improve self-esteem and learn healthy parenting skills. Children develop safety plans and learn they’re not responsible for domestic violence. (March 2026 Kona Low) State of Hawaii Department of Defense Hawaii Emergency Management Agency provides a website with information on the Kona Low on March 2026. Information includes links to information, shelter, public safety notices, road closures and travel disruptions, recovery resources, damage assessment links, hotel information for storm evacuees, links to donate to Kona Low relief efforts, press conference information, and information on preparing for flash floods.

Assessments of Hawaii provides substance abuse assessments and chemical dependency treatment.

Provides emergency financial aid, including but not limited to, transportation, funerals, medical bills, food (Does not provide a food pantry or meals), rent and utilities. Provides financial aid to Navy and Marine Corps Active Duty families and retirees who are victims of natural disasters and other unforeseeable emergency needs. Provides student loans. Operates a thrift shop, but must have access to the base. Provides individual counseling. Provides assistance with obtaining services from civilian agencies.

Serves as the liaison office for the Governor's Office in American Samoa. Helps people obtain documents such as birth and marriage certificates from the Vital Records Office; verification of completion of High School from the DOE and travel autorizations for those traveling without the proper documents. Also has a volunteer immigration case worker who assists with immigration and social services matters.

Operates an adult day program for individuals with intellectual disabilities, education and vocational training programs for low-to-moderate income people including those with disabilities/special needs, and other support services. Also operates programs for seniors and the disabled offering therapeutic and recreational activities. (Note: Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Wellness Center activities are temporarily closed.)

(MEO, MEO Core 4 Business Planning Class) Offers a 30-hour course that helps individuals analyze business opportunity and plan success. The course guides individuals in the development of a realistic, achievable plan for a business. It is helpful for prospective entrepreneurs as well as existing small business owners.
