Dynamic Compassion in Action Food Pantry

(Food Pantry) Dynamic Compassion in Action distributes food boxes to persons in need and persons with low-income. Clothing and household goods are distributed at the same site and during same food pantry hours.
Volunteers are accepted, but please call first. We accept donations of clean and gently used small household items and clothing.
The food distribution is normally a drive through. For persons who walk in please bring a bag, box or wagon.
This is an Ohana Produce Plus Distribution and Senior Food Box Program, Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP), a one a month, federal program helping low-income kupuna.

Hawaii COPD Coalition
(Hawaii Copd Coalition) Hawaii Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (HiCOPD) Coalition was formed in 2007 to provide services and improve treatment of Hawaii adults diagnosed with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) including emphysema, chronic bronchitis, and its related disorders. Program serves patients, caregivers, healthcare professionals and others offering free lung health information, free paper and pen screening tests, tobacco cessation information, monthly support group meetings, presentations on COPD, advocacy, training for volunteers/healthcare workers about COPD and Smoking Cessation counseling, information sharing of licensure for Hawaii’s respiratory therapists which has successfully led to licensing.

Facilities include a multi-purpose building, a gymnasium, outdoor tennis, basketball and volleyball courts, swimming pool, boxing gym, and a field. There are three program periods throughout the year: Fall, spring, and summer. Activities are geared for all age, including classes in arts and crafts, Hawaiiana, games and sports, music and dance, seasonal activities, excursions and swimming. Services are provided to child and adult victims, non-offending partners, alleged juvenile and adult offenders, and siblings.
