Programs that help nonprofit organizations, small businesses and other groups oversee a project as its implementation unfolds, track all major project variables including cost, time, scope and quality of deliverables; monitor project accomplishments; revise the project plan to reflect accomplishments to date; and revise the plan for remaining work, if needed. Deliverables may include written status reports, updates to lists of action items, risks, problems and issues; updates to the plan and schedule; comparisons of actual costs to budgeted costs; and audit and review reports of the activities and work products under development.
