Programs that help nonprofit organizations and other groups develop a plan for managing leadership transitions and ensuring leadership continuity when an executive director or other key staff leave the organization. Services may include assisting the organization in conducting an organizational review; developing an emergency succession plan; identifying, assessing and developing future board and staff leaders; developing a strong senior management team; ensuring that there is agreement at all levels on the organization's strategic direction and priorities; developing a situation-specific transition plan when a key individual's departure is imminent; determining whether interim staff are required; recruiting and hiring for the position; and providing appropriate orientation and support services to ensure a smooth leadership transition and uninterrupted work plan.
