Libraries or other organizations that maintain collections of audio described videos, DVDs or films that can be used with library equipment or checked out for viewing at home or shown to community groups. Described videos and DVDs are movies which have been adapted for the enjoyment of individuals who are blind or visually impaired. Throughout each video or DVD, a narrator carefully describes the visual elements of the movie including the action, characters, locations, costumes and sets without interfering with dialogue or sound effects. The videos/DVDs operate on most standard videocassette and DVD players with a regular television set.
