Programs that provide organized opportunities for individuals to pursue their interest in stained glass, often through the medium of a club or society which is under the leadership of people who are knowledgeable in the subject. Activities may include lectures by people with stained glass expertise; demonstrations of techniques used in creating stained glass art objects; and regular meetings at which members share stained glass patterns, glass working tips or information about current projects and enjoy the company of other stained glass enthusiasts. Some stained glass clubs may also provide facilities for stained glass work, arrange for discounts on materials and tools, sponsor exhibits or sales of stained glass art pieces created by members, publish a newsletter or provide a library of resources about the art form. Included are Internet-based virtual clubs, WebRings devoted to the subject and clubs where members meet face-to-face.
