Mutual support groups whose members are the spouses, partners, parents, children, siblings, friends or significant others of people who have of people who have physical, sensory, developmental, cognitive, mental or emotional limitations or medical diagnoses whose own patterns of personal, social and familial coping have been significantly affected by ongoing interaction with and concern about the individual. The groups meet in-person, by telephone or via the Internet, and provide an opportunity for participants to share information, resources, practical tips for daily living and encouragement about related issues.
