Eating establishments that offer the variety of Middle Eastern food that is served in Lebanon which features specialties such as hummus (mashed chick peas), kibbeh (cracked wheat, ground meat and pine nuts), stuffed grape leaves with yogurt sauce, stuffed zucchini, tabbouleh (a fresh salad with bulghur, parsley and mint), couscous (semolina made from wheat grain with a variety of ingredients), baba gannoush (an eggplant and tahini mix), lamb stew, kebabs, spinach pie, meat pie and a variety of dessert pastries including some made with pistachio nuts.
