Programs that help nonprofit organizations and other groups that want to establish a volunteer program develop and implement effective orientation and in-service training programs to meet the initial and ongoing needs of volunteer personnel. Included are assistance in conducting training needs assessment activities, establishing training objectives, designing a training curriculum, assembling human and material resources required for training delivery, evaluating the effectiveness of the training and trainers and utilizing evaluation results to improve future training.
