Convention on the Rights of the Child, these rights include their right to life, survival and personal development; the right to a name, a nationality, and parental protection and care from birth; the right to express themselves and have their opinion heard; the right to protection from physical or mental abuse and neglect including sexual abuse and exploitation; the right to protection from economic exploitation and from work that may be harmful to their health and well-being; the right to protection from abduction and the trafficking in children; the right to education and quality health care; the right to time for rest, play and access to cultural and artistic activities; and the right to equal opportunities irrespective of the child's or his/her parent's race, color, gender, language, religion, political or other opinion, national, ethnic or social origin, property, disability or other status.
