Desserts may include Swedish pancakes with preserves, cakes, cookies and fresh berries. Beverages may include the traditional Scandinavian drink Akavit, a colorless liquor distilled from potatoes, which is typically served with a beer chaser. Scandinavian restaurants may also serve a smorgasbord, an "all you can eat" buffet which features a broad range of salads, hot and cold entrees and desserts.
