Eating establishments that offer the cuisine of El Salvador which features specialties such as masa cups filled with chorizo, black beans and roasted chiles; pupusas (corn-pancake quesadillas stuffed with loroco, chicharon and cheese) served with curtido (a traditional pickled cabbage side dish); beef steak in chile sauce; chicken with cider; yuca fries; chilaquiles (tortilla strips mixed with chile-spiced chicken); and a variety of desserts such as hot fried bananas with ginger. Beverages may include beer and soft drinks.
