Eating establishments that offer the cuisine of the Czech Republicv which features specialties such as housky (salt rolls), goulash with dumplings, chicken paprikash with knedliky (bread dumplings), roast duck, svickova (beef tenderloin in sour cream sauce flavored with vinegar, onion and spices), carp or hare in black sauce (vegetable broth seasoned with vinegar, spices, beer, gingersnaps, prunes, raisins and nuts), spicy sausages, braised cabbage and pork and goose or duck seasoned with caraway. Desserts may include kolac (yeast rolls with a variety of sweet stuffings) and palachinky (pancakes topped with cheese, jam or chocolate). Beverages may include Czech beer.
