Eating establishments that offer the cuisine of Belgium which features specialties such as biftek et frites (steak and fried potatoes); moules et frites (steamed mussels and fried potatoes); soups, stews and other dishes made with eel; Vlaamse karbonaden (beef and onion stew in Flemish beer); salads and main dishes made with Belgian endive; rognons de veau a la Liegoise (veal kidneys sauteed with juniper berries); and Belgian rabbit. Beverages may include Flemmish beer, some varieties of which are very exotic, and wine.
