School-based early identification and intervention programs that seek to reduce social, emotional and school adjustment difficulties for children in kindergarten through grade three and help them become comfortable within a school setting. Students identified by school personnel participate in special individual and group play activities that are aimed at helping them develop social and problem-solving skills and enhancing their self-esteem. The PSAP supplements the educational experience and promotes the personal development of children so they may become successful learners in the classroom, school, and community. Parental consent is required for participation.
