Taxonomy: Vegetarianism Issues

Programs that provide information and/or services that deal with the topic of vegetarianism, i.e., diets that exclude meat, poultry, game fish, shellfish or crustacea and slaughter by-products. Varieties of vegetarian food include vegan food (only foods of plant origin), pescatarian food (plant foods plus fish), lacto-vegetarian food (plant foods plus some or all dairy products) and lacto-ovo-vegetarian food (plant foods, dairy products and eggs). Vegetarian diets include grains, pulses, nuts, seeds, vegetables and fruits with or without the use of dairy products and eggs.
