People who are serving as informal primary caregivers for another person and are receiving local, state or federal financial assistance to support their efforts. Included may be family members or others such as neighbors who are primary caregivers for frail elderly, or, in some jurisdictions, adults with disabilities, or grandparents who meet age requirements and are caring for grandchildren.
