Having the father's name on a child's birth certificate creates a legal relationship between the father and child. Volunteer Services Program at Kuakini Medical Center 347 North Kuakini Street, Honolulu, HI 96817 Welcomes and accepts volunteers (including high school students, college students, working adults and senior retirees). Volunteers assist Health System employees with acute care, long-term care and geriatric care. Duties range from clerical support to companionship activities within nursing home residents or patient assistance at the medical center. Volunteers also participate in hospital tours for visitors. Volunteers are accepted year round. Upon acceptance into the program, volunteers attend a general orientation given by the supervisor of their assigned department.
