We support, educate and advocate for choice at the end of life. We support individuals as they navigate their way through the health care system. We support legislation relating to choice in dying as well as work to stop legislation that restricts choice. We advocate for those whose end-of-life wishes are not being followed. We provide state-specific advance directives and information on how to complete these documents. Proponents of aid in dying for incurable and terminally ill mentally competent persons, requesting aid in dying to achieve a peaceful death.

We will assist with coordination of 12 step work (where one person who has arrested their drinking problem will work with someone who has a desire to stop drinking alcohol). We provide information about the over 300 local AA meetings on Oahu. Volunteers who answer the phones may share experiences with alcoholism and recovery with callers to provide support and encouragement.

The Drivers Program provides a comprehensive evaluation to assess the ability to continue driving or return to driving. The evaluation process is meant to maintain safety for our clients and the community. For those who have sustained a new injury, illness or diagnosis, the Drivers Program assesses abilities to reintegrate into the community by maintaining or regaining driving independence. Additional components of the program include a behind-the-wheel assessment, adaptive equipment consultation and optional additional training sessions. We determine the readiness to drive with an on-site clinical evaluation that includes a comprehensive interview, as well as cognitive, vision and physical assessments with Driver Rehabilitation Specialists. A Behind-the-Wheel assessment is to be completed at the recommendation of the Driver Rehabilitation Specialist.
