(Hawaii Academy of Performing Arts) An inclusive and innovative community arts space in Honolulu that hosts community arts events, cultural workshops, gallery shows featuring local artists, creative classes, First Friday Honolulu, auditions and art submission contests. "Arts" is acronym for Art Retail Theater Space. We provide an inclusive experience of the arts to youths and adults. We also support the creative revitalization of the Downtown-Chinatown area through neighborhood relations, street festivals, beautification projects, neighborhood maps, other community celebrations. Supporting and promoting the arts by providing a safe and inclusive space for individuals and organizations to create, collaborate, experiment, and educate. We support local artists and performers by providing an artistic space in Honolulu, while providing the community with a versatile venue at affordable costs to promote new and emerging local talent. The Arts at Marks Garage, located in the heart of the historic arts district of downtown Honolulu has been in operation since 2001, as an artist-run non-profit community arts center.
