Ohana Makamae, Inc. provides an Substance Abuse Treatment Program for Adults and Youth, facilitated by Certified Substance Abuse Counselors. Provides substance abuse treatment and other services for those with dual diagnosis.

Jointly operates a community based program which is between the Department of Health and the Department of Education which services special education students between the ages of 12 to 21. Provides individual, group, family and recreational therapy to youth and their families and a parent support group. Provides individual academic assistance.

Program offers Behavioral Health and Family Resource Services. Provides culturally based, professional counseling programs. Assists clients in their personal quest towards restoration and long-term wellness. Clinical staff encourage and support involving the family therapeutically, as the ohana is an important part of treating the whole person. Ohana Makamae means precious family.

Provides community and clinic-based mental health services for adults. Arranges for services such as therapeutic individual and group homes, hospitalization, case management and respite care.

Hina Mauka objective is provide a comprehensive services delivery system of residential, day treatment and aftercare levels of care. Hina Mauka’s objective is to provide a separate track for co-occurring disorders consumers deemed appropriate. Another objective is to provide a longer term treatment perspective that incorporates the stages of change research to “meet the consumer where they are”. Cognitive restructuring techniques; motivational enhancement interventions and motivational interviewing techniques; relapse prevention; and other services are designed to help the consumer foster independence, connect to community-based services, and participate in support activities to increase stability. Hina Mauka’s objective is to provide a specifically designed curriculum with skill building and process groups that are designed to facilitate a change in thought processes, attitudes, values and behaviors that promotes a greater degree of personal responsibility.

Provides a highly structured, community based, residential and day treatment services facility for dual diagnosed adults. Clients receive a minimum of 25 hours of service per week.

Sand Island Treatment Center provides residential alcohol and drug rehabilitation, day treatment, out-patient (high intensity and low intensity) supportive living, dual diagnosis, and aftercare.

Teaches clients to set goals for themselves, learn problem solving, handle social relationships. Utilizes self-help group experiences and pre-vocational services including educational and recreational activities. Arranges for linkages with vocational programs and job placement services for people with severe mental illness.

(IOP) The Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is an intensive psychotherapeutic program designed to treat substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health disorders. Services include group therapy, individual counseling, and toxicology testing. Sessions are often done as a group. Clients go home each night, rather than living at a treatment center. Clients attend IOP groups 3-5 days per week, for a total of 9-15 hours per week.

(Kau Behavioral Health Clinic) Provides comprehensive services to persons in acute mental health crisis or who are suffering from a serious mental illness. Provides psychiatric evaluation and treatment, counseling and psychotherapy, case management, outreach, crisis intervention, and psychosocial rehabilitation.

Provides comprehensive social work services to seriously mentally ill adults including assessment, assistance in development of individualized service plan. Provides advocacy, and supportive counseling. Offers linkage and referral to additional services such as treatment, housing, psychosocial rehabilitation and entitlement acquisition (welfare, SSI benefits, etc.). Assists in independent living skill building, and provides psycho-education.
