Intensive In-Home Therapy - East Hawaii Island

(IIH, Intensive in Home) This program provides mental health services for children/adolescents who have serious emotional and behavioral disorders. Program staff work with the family to stabilize and preserve their capacity to improve the youth’s functioning in the current living environment and to prevent the need for placement outside the home. Intensive In-Home Mental Health Treatment Services for children, youth, and families who require a higher level of care than office-based services, but who do not require residential or hospital level care.

Trafficking Victim Assistance Program

(TVAP) Sex Trafficking Case Management services are provided to juvenile victims and their families or caregivers through the Trafficking Victim Assistance Program (TVAP). In partnership with the Susannah Wesley Community Center and Hale Kipa, Parents And Children Together provides victim centered trauma-informed comprehensive case management to survivors of sex trafficking. Services include crisis response, intake screening, and case management designed to support the victim in leaving the trafficking situation. (PSI Helpline) Provides a helpline for support and local referrals for postpartum mental health, along with online information and support groups to help families, providers, and communities learn about the emotional and mental health of childbearing families. Website helps locate specialized support coordinators. The helpline connects callers to crisis hotlines, support groups, and events in that area. Helpline runs 24/7, but is staffed only during business hours. Callers may leave confidential messages anytime and staff will return them as soon as possible.

Community Empowerment Resources - Intensive Outpatient Program

(IOP) The Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is an intensive psychotherapeutic program designed to treat substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health disorders. Services include group therapy, individual counseling, and toxicology testing. Sessions are often done as a group. Clients go home each night, rather than living at a treatment center. Clients attend IOP groups 3-5 days per week, for a total of 9-15 hours per week.

Domestic Abuse Shelter - West Hawaii Island

(Domestic Abuse Shelter) Domestic Abuse Shelters provide a safe haven for abused partners and their children. It is a time-out period for abused partners to learn about the dynamics of domestic violence, the cycle of abuse and how to develop a "safety plan". It is also a time for learning about and making choices; discovering that they are not at fault for the abuse; building self-esteem and learning self-empowerment. The Domestic Abuse Shelters help families and children escape from domestic violence and establish independent lives. The Shelter offers up to 120 days of a safe haven, basic needs (food, clothing etc.), counseling and services for children. Program participants learn dynamics of domestic violence, develop safety plans, improve self-esteem and learn healthy parenting skills. Children develop safety plans and learn they’re not responsible for domestic violence. Offers information, referral and direct support to any person victimized. Support is also provided during police, medical examinations and legal matters surrounding the crime, advocacy, counseling, and therapy.

PTSD Residential Rehabilitation Program

Offers three specialized treatments for veterans suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Here and Now group for current life issues concentrating on providing veterans with effective coping skills and management of PTSD symptomology. Also serves as preparation for possible future more intense treatment than that offered through outpatient services. PTSD and Addictions addresses the needs of veterans suffering from PTSD and Substance Abuse. Providing veterans with the abilities to identify risk factors, prevent relapse and practice effective coping skills. Residents are required to attend AA and/or NA meetings several times a week. War Trauma Focus is designed to provide appropriate circumstances for veterans to re-experience emotional impacts of trauma, understanding recovery, accepting responsibility and coping skills are the primary emphasis.
