Volunteers at Helping Hands Hawaii play an important role in making sure donations reach families quickly and efficiently. Ongoing volunteer opportunities include: -Office support such as data entry, assisting with phone calls and voicemails, conducting surveys, organizing files, greeting and assisting visitors -Warehouse support such as receiving donations from donors, sorting items, restocking shelves Current volunteer opportunities for Kona Low support include: -Sorting and packing donations -Supporting distribution sites -Administrative support such as logging donations into an inventory or helping clients fill out application for assistance All volunteers are required to: -Register online at https://www.helpinghandshawaii.org/get-involved/volunteer/ -Pass required background check and attend an orientation and safety briefing -Sign up for scheduled shifts People under 18 years old may volunteer, but there are additional requirements, like having a chaperone present. This applies for individuals and groups of volunteers.
