Missing Child Center Hawaii

Assists in the location and recovery of missing children. Connected to 49 mainland state clearinghouses as well as the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Traces children and their abductors through connection with these databases and other public records as well as coordination with the efforts of the FBI and police departments of all states. Child Protective Services, Interpol, the U.S. Department of State and countries who are signatories to the Hague Convention. The police should always be notified first in the event that a parent suspects a child has been abducted. Accepts volunteers to assist with basic administrative assistance, special events and graphic designing.

(Mothers Milk) Hawaii Mothers' Milk, Inc. (HMMI) is a comprehensive breastfeeding resource center, for both families and health professionals in the State of Hawaii. HMMI provides services to new mothers statewide through our telephone warmline, individualized breastfeeding counseling, rentals and sales of hospital grade and/or home purchase breast pumps and supplies. Seeking volunteers to assist with clerical and other nonpatient duties. Donations accepted. This program offers lactation counseling and breastfeeding support, breast pump rentals, and breast pump sales.

DVAC Volunteer Opportunities

Dedicated to helping victims of domestic abuse by providing direct legal services to clients, legal information, case management and support services, community education, and advocacy for system reform and other specialized services such as our Teen Alert program. Accepts volunteers to assist clients in areas such as individual outreach, safety issues, legal issues, advocacy, manning of legal help line, and clerical and public education.

PATCH provides referrals to licensed child care across the state, information on how to identify and choose quality child care, and resources to support the family, such as subsidy programs and services available in the community. In addition, the Child Care Recruitment Project offers support and guidance to individuals who are interested in opening their own childcare business.
