Keiki Great Aloha Run

(KGAR) A 1.2 mile (untimed) fun run for youth ages 12 and under at Ala Moana Beach Park. Annually, the event raises over $20,000 dollars to support participating public and private elementary schools’ PE, health education and physical activity programs. For as school to participate and qualify for a donation, a minimum of 10 participants per school must register to be eligible for a donation. The last Keiki Great Aloha Run was on Saturday, March 26, 2022 as a 1.5 mile virtual race. Participants

Great Aloha Run

The Great Aloha Run is an 8.12-mile foot race beginning at Aloha Tower and finishes in the Aloha Stadium. The race financially assists scholarship programs and special projects of selected charitable organizations which serve the community needs in the State of Hawaii.

Silver Streaks Sunrise Walk for Seniors is organized by the Hawaii Parks and Recreation Society as an annual 1+ mile walk in the morning. 33rd Annual Silver Streaks Sunrise Walk was Saturday, April 16, 2022 at Ala Moana Regional Park, 1201 Ala Moana Blvd, Honolulu, HI 96814, USA at the Magic Island end of the parking lot. The course length was 1+ mile.

Sponsors annual Honolulu Marathon (26.2 mile race) which is classified as the 3rd largest international marathon in the United States. Comprised of seven professionals who donate their time to the world class international marathon. Department of Parks and Recreation sponsors a 9-month training clinic, with various running groups, that culminates in the marathon run.
