Malama Maui Nui

Through public-private partnerships, Malama Maui Nui stretches government dollars further by gaining the in-kind support of local businesses and volunteers to malama aina in Maui Nui. Projects include marine debris cleanups, coral reef outreach & education, invasive plant control, native outplanting, illegal dumpsite clearing, litter pickups, graffiti cleanup, recycling, community paint exchange, and environmental education. Ongoing volunteer opportunities are available in Kihei at our Laie Wetland Restoration Project, in Kahului at Kanaha Beach Park, and at various community.

WOC is an organization affiliated with the Outdoor Circle in Honolulu. Keeps Waimea clean, green, and beautiful by developing and maintaining parks, trees, and open spaces.

Outdoor Circle

Concerned with all areas of beautification and preservation of parks and open spaces. We assist and support our branches across the state with environmental issues in their own communities. We are also concerned with illegal billboard and sign control as well as issues of livability and sustainability statewide.

Adopt-A-Highway - Oahu

Administers public service program for volunteers from community groups, churches, or businesses who agree to pick up litter on a section of highway their organization has adopted. Volunteers pick up litter on the specified section of highway at least four times a year. Provides high visibility vests, trash bags and safety information for volunteers. Removes filled bags and heavy hazardous items from roadsides. Erects signs on the highways to recognize volunteers' cleaning efforts.
