(Tutu and Me Traveling Preschool) Tutu and Me aims to identify, recruit, and service this undeserved segment of the Native Hawaiian population through an innovative traveling preschool program done in cooperation with churches and community organizations serving the Hawaiian and part-Hawaiian community. Tutu and Me aims to meet the developmental needs of these young children and to support the grandparents as well as parents and other primary caregivers who are raising them. Teaching teams, comprised of early education educators, travel to pre-selected communities where they set up, conduct, and facilitate the program. The curriculum is organized around learning themes and cultural aspects, as well as those values that continue to influence the lives of native Hawaiian children, are also incorporated into the curriculum.

Rainbow Mililani opened in 1987. We are located in the heart of Mililani Town on the grounds of the Christ Lutheran Church , although we are not affiliated with any religious denomination. Our program is licensed by the State of Hawaii. We offer services to 60 children ranging in age from 3 to 5 years old. Licensed by the State of Hawaii Department of Human Service and nationally accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). All staff meet State licensing requirements. We accept DHS – Child Care Connection, Open Door, First-to-Work, Kamehameha Schools’ Keiki Pauahi Scholars Program, and Federal subsidies. All tuition payments are done through the FACTS Tuition Management program. Your child’s Form 14, current TB clearance and DHS 908 Form are required upon acceptance into the school. Parents are also responsible for a non-refundable registration fee of $175 upon acceptance. If there are no availabilities, your child’s application will be placed on the center’s waitlist. Offers and provides a comprehensive program of educational, health, and social services to income or categorically-eligible children and families in order to promote school readiness. -Early Head Start - provides prenatal support services to expectant mothers and their families, as well as educational services for children zero to three years of age through islandwide home-based home visiting. -Head Start - provides preschool educational services to children three to five years-old through center and home-based options islandwide. Parents are the key to success in Head Start and Early Head Start. As members of the Parent Committees and Head Start Policy Council, parents help decide how the program is operated. Parents are invited to volunteer in all phases of the Head Start program at any time.

It also equips their teacher, ensuring they start kindergarten ready to learn. The program provides a stimulating, preschool-like experience through learning centers that foster young child development and improve school readiness, while also supporting and developing the skills and knowledge of caregivers. Early Learning Readiness - services are provided at the Aliamanu Military Reservations for the Pearl Harbor and Wheeler Schoefield locations.

(Ka Pa'alana, Ka Paalana Traveling Preschool and Homeless Family Education Program, Partners in Development Ka Paalana, Partners in Development K Paalana Traveling Preschool, PIDF Ka Paalana Traveling Preschool) The Ka Pa‘alana Traveling Preschool and Homeless Family Education Program serves houseless families on the Leeward coast of O‘ahu as well as Kaka‘ako, and Hilo on Hawai‘i Island. Through collaborative partnerships with Leeward coast outreach agencies, Ka Pa‘alana assists families by delivering or providing access to essential services, such as a parent-child participatory preschool, basic needs items and more. Ka Pa‘alana also serves as an initial contact agency for families who are ready to transition to local shelters or temporary housing facilities. There are three components to the Ka Pa‘alana Traveling Preschool and Homeless Family Education Program: Malama Mobile, Traveling Preschool, and Family Education services.
