Chamber Music Hawaii’s innovative education programs are designed to inspire, engage, and meet the needs of not only our local music directors and students, but all of our community members near and far. Each year, CMH’s three resident ensembles reach over 3,500 students, parents, teachers, administrators, and community members on all six major Hawaiian Islands, through the help of generous grant support. Our curated online modules and in-person sessions are flexible and adaptable; our most common clinic formats are: “Chamber Chats” Presentation / Demonstration In this highly requested format, the ensemble members share about their individual instruments, perform musical demonstrations, and engage with the students/audience on certain talking points within the music. Topics covered can include solid tone productions, proper posture, working as a group, etc. This style of clinic allows for a great amount of versatility so that we can present topics relative to those participating. Side-by-side This format highlights the joy and energy of performing music together between artists and students. Each member of the ensemble sits in a specific section in the band or orchestra and plays along with the students. This allows the students to interact with our artists through the music being rehearsed and provides a quick and intense learning environment. It is a highly effective way to teach the students how to communicate through music. Sectional and Individual Coaching Impactful learning is especially effective in one-on-one arrangements. Sometimes a band or orchestra director would like individual artists of the chamber ensemble to help specific instrumental sections work on the music the class is preparing. One-on-one coachings are also offered in cases where a student may need a little extra assistance, or where a student could benefit from more advanced tutoring. (The Boo Boo Zoo) Provides treatment, care and rehabilitation of injured, sick, and orphaned animals. Rescues and cares for animals in distress. Average on site numbers 400 animals including dogs, cats, goats, sheep, cow, horses, deer, fowl, birds. Even if we aren't facilitated to intake an animal still call. We can help, advise or direct you to a source. Staff are all volunteers, donations are sole support.

(ORL Processing Center) The federal Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) provides crucial food and nutritional support to qualifying low-income and needy households, and those making the transition from welfare to self-sufficiency. The SNAP processing center provides public assistance, food stamps (SNAP) and financial assistance, to eligible individuals and families. They handle new applications and ongoing assistance. A paper copy of the application can be downloaded, printed, signed and submitted via US postal mail or dropped off in the drop box. Playmorning (Nene) promotes social skills, creativity, literacy and fine and large motor skills for children, parent participation program, twice a week, $5.00 per visit or $25 a month.

Aged to Perfection Assists adults with disabilities by provides a senior day care experience to home bound, disabled elderly persons. Breakfast, lunch and snacks are included. Accepts clients that require 2 person wheelchair assist, clients with dementia, Alzheimer's disease and a combination of issues. Includes breakfast, lunch and snack.

Offers weekly individual or group counseling focused on teaching independent living skills for youth aged 12 to 25. Maintains a training apartments from young men aged 17.5 to 19 who are in transition from foster care, group homes, shelters or institutions and also a home for young women transitioning out of foster care to independent living (training apartment participants are expected to have jobs and pay for rent and food). Also a home for pregnant and parenting teens.

Habilitat helps those with substance abuse dependency and behavioral problems change into productive members of our community.

Easterseals Hawaii provides individualized early intervention services to children under 3 with or at risk for developmental delays and their families. Services include: Development of an Individualized Family Support Plan (IFSP); Parent coaching and family support; Developmental evaluations; Resources, information, and referral services; Assistance to families in transition planning for their child’s transition into the Department of Education special education, Head Start or preschool. Treatment Focus Areas: Cognitive; Language and Communication; Physical; Development; Social and Emotional; Adaptive/Self Care. Program focuses on building a support team for the family and assisting them in meeting challenges via parent coaching and building a foundation of tools and strategies that parents need to support their child’s growth and participation in their community.
