The Hawaii County Civil Defense Agency also collects information on residential and commercial property damage from storms or other events. Call to report damage. (ADRC) The Aging and Disability Resource Center is the source for individuals who are aging and have disabilities to get impartial information about support and services that help them remain living at home as long as possible with dignity and quality of life. The ADRC staff members provide Options Counseling. It's a process that assists you to make informed decisions to select the long term services and support you need to age well and maintain independence. The ADRC is for people of all incomes and ages, to help you make plans that carry out your individual needs and preferences. It is also a point of access for all publically funded long term support programs and benefits. ADRC is operated by the State of Hawaii in cooperation with the four county governments.

(Hawaii County Third Circuit Keahuolū Courthouse Self Help Center) The Kona Court Self-Help Center will provide legal help to the West Hawaii community on a pilot basis. Volunteer attorneys from the West Hawaii Bar Association will provide limited legal information by telephone in areas such as landlord-tenant, family, and other district court matters.

(H-HEAP, Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program - Energy Credit - Lanai, LIHEAP, LIHEAP EC) Hawaii Home Energy Assistance Program (H-HEAP) is a federal program that provides qualifying low-income households with a one-time credit to offset household energy costs. Applications for this program are only accepted during the month of June. The amount of the credit varies each year and is based on the total number of people living in the house. Applicants must have an active electric account and are required to submit a current electric bill. Applicants may apply, once per program year for one of the two types of credit: Energy Credit (EC) or Emergency Crisis Intervention (ECI).

Provides social detoxification services for adults who are intoxicated or withdrawing from alcohol and/or drug dependency. Services include assessment and care plan, monitoring of vital signs, counseling, case management, addiction/health education and referral to treatment.

Drop-in services include tutoring, free wi-fi, community closet, access to a library, a foosball table, PS5, Free boba tea and snacks, youth entrepreneurship initiatives, Healing Hooponopono sessions, independent life skills training, college prep support, and events.

Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) Hawaii provides: Free and confidential support services to injured victims and to families and close friends of those who have been killed, Range of free brochures, books on grief, and other literature, Court accompaniment and criminal justice system navigation, An annual candlelight vigil of hope and remembrance held during the holiday season, The possibility of serving on a “Victim Impact Panel” where victims share their stories with people who have been arrested for DUI. MADD Hawaii works closely with the Victim Witness Assistance Division of the Prosecutor's office, with youth programs and young teens in the prevention of underage drinking. (LASR) The program assists persons with disabilities develop skills, enhance independence, encourage self-reliance, and increase community inclusion opportunities.

(VLA) The VLA project focuses on disabled and elderly veterans and family members who are residents of the state of Hawaii and who want assistance with filing benefits claims with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. Also offers referrals to volunteer attorneys through VLSH's pro bono program for legal advice and direct services for: Family Law, Tenant Rights, Collections and Bankruptcy, Estate Planning/Probate, Re-Employment and Community Service Program (Oahu only).

Inspects plants and plant products arriving from foreign countries and leaving Hawaii to prevent spread of undesirable pests and diseases. Enforces federal regulations governing the movement of agricultural items to the United States mainland.

Responds to complaints relating to environmental air pollution. Processes air permit applications. Processes applications for agricultural burning permits. Conducts inspection of air pollution sources for compliance. Establishes air quality monitoring stations and maintains the data.

(Childrens Specialty Care) Provides specialized pediatric services for children and young adults from birth to 21 years of age. Services provided by Specialist Pediatricians via the following clinics: Adolescent, Allergy, Cardiac, Behavioral/Developmental, Ears-Nose-Throat, Immunology, Kawasaki Syndrome, Medically Fragile Children with Special Needs, Neurology, NICU Medical, Lupus/Rheumatology, Surgical, Cleft Lip and Palate, and feeding team.

Quality Care for Hawaiian Keiki (QCHK) is a child care subsidy program for Native Hawaiian in Maui County. QCHK goals are to help Native Hawaiian/Part Hawaiian families become more economically self sufficient as well as helping their children to become school ready. Program provides assistance to families to pay for child care, for children ages 0-13 and up to 19 years old for children with special needs. Child care includes Licensed Family Child Care Homes, Infant and Toddler Centers, Preschools, Before/After school Programs, Intercession care as well as License-Exempt providers. Provides help with child care providers in Maui County with any needs that they might have in the areas of training, health, safety and licensing.
